“Cry out and shout for joy, O citizens of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel acts mightily among you!” Isaiah 12.6 NETB.
As the book of Isaiah closes the first major section, the prophet envisions future glory for Israel in restoration. God is present and active to bless and restore the remnant, who sing praises of gratitude to God and invite one another to join in the worship. The citizens of Zion here represent the people of God in the Messianic age.
