I do wish @Joplin or @Nextcloud 📱☁️💻 notes could handle handwritten notes. I'm currently stuck using #samsung notes, but they don't sync to #linux machines.

Any other suggestions?

2 things I'm looking for are:
The ability to create a handwritten note, and later be able to alter it. Like paper and pencil, I could add to it, or erase something.

The ability to search handwritten notes. I'm assuming some type of OCR would be needed for that?

I realize that's asking a lot. Handwritten notes carry deeper significance, but it's hard to merge with a digital world.

I think the reason I convert to text is simply for searchability.

may i hijack this thread for a minute - @Big Diggity sorry for that

@Joplin I really like your app. I was even trying to make it work with the Fediverse - or better saying with #Hubzilla https://hubzilla.org/ . Hubzilla has a cloud and WebDav. With the FF Browser Web clipper i was able to store images from the web to Joplin and sync it to a folder in the Hubzilla cloud - that works grade. If Hubzilla could share .md files not just as a download it would be even more interesting to use Joplin and Hubzilla in the Fediverse as Clipping and sharing tolls -
