A few weeks ago, I purchased a new #
yeti type cooler. It's the Lifetime 55 Quart High Performance Cooler with Wheels. Claims 7 days of ice retention. Rotomolded construction. All the things a Yeti has. I already own a 15 year old Coleman Extreme. Since I travel all the time, I keep a larger cooler in my truck like a fridge. Helps me save money on eating out.
Long story-short. They perform the same. They hold ice for the same duration. The LIfetime Cooler is getting returned and I'm saving my $160.
If I can find a friend that has a Yeti cooler, I'm going to borrow and test the hype. Maybe a Yeti is worth $400. 🤷♂️
If I find the Yeti actually holds ice for 7days, then maybe the lesson will be that I can't always buy cheap.
