@Randal Oh probably. They have done several things over the last few years to attract people to downtown. Rebuilt Busch Stadium where the Cardinals play baseball. Built a large Aquarium in Union Station.

I got kin scattered around there, and zipped down E. St Louis on the way south from Eureka, but generally avoid even passing through the center.

@Randal I feel like there is a healthy amount of foot traffic in downtime St. Louis. I would, however, stay away from East St. Louis. There is a lot of violence and gang activity there. If you driving past East St. Louis on the highway, no big deal, just don't take an exit.

I got up at 5:35am this morning. Got a 10 minute run/ walk in. Then 12 minutes of stretching, followed by 10 minutes of quiet time.
I'm trying to change up my mornings with a routine to fade out the morning chaos of sleeping until the last minute and running out the door for work.

Have any of you read the book called The 5am Club by Robin Sharma? It has some good ideas for creating a #morningroutine but I found the story line to be a bit dramatic and even laughed at it a few times.

Is it messed up if I actually prefer *not* being in Christian-exclusive/focused places online?

Not hating at all, but I so love hanging out with Christians, atheists, LGBTQIA+, and everybody else you could name, and I'm not what you'd call exceptionally socially progressive.

I guess I've been slightly burned by Christian spaces online, but moreso I remember being one of the awful theological gatekeepers online a couple decades back.

That's what I use the Public fediverse for. I guess I kind of view the online world as physical world. In the physical world, I am in a community of non-Christian people, like at work or the grocery store, or the park. But then I also have a community of Christians to hang out with.

I don't really plan to moderate this room to a high degree, but my hope is that a small community is built.

I literally just launched the room, and if you want to come in and stand in the corner to watch, that's cool. If you don't, that's cool too. I do appreciate you sharing here, helps me understand you a bit better.

@Big Diggity Not to be a party pooper but I try not to ask that question unless I really want to know the answer. I asked a cashier at a convenience store the question one time and was there for a good five minutes listening to her woes. They basically amounted to "my mom pissed me off and ruined my life for today."

I learned my lesson.

@whistlewright ðŸ—¿ Good point. I do say "How are you doing" a lot. For me, it gives that person a chance to let something out of they need to. Like that cashier.

I guess my point is to be cognitive of how you greet someone, which you learned that it is important.
